In the United Kingdom, The Pinkprint opened at number 22 on the UK Albums Chart. The album reached number two on the US Billboard 200 with 244,000 album-equivalent units in its first week, of which 198,000 were pure sales. Among best of the decade lists, it landed 166 on Pitchfork and 60 on Rolling Stone. Upon its release, The Pinkprint received generally positive reviews from music critics, with many of them praising its production and personal lyrics.
